On Feb 12th & 13th we are returning to the Henley area with the first of a series of very special events in a stunning woodland hunting lodge. Accessed up a private, tree lined drive and tucked in amongst the trees it really is a beautiful, peaceful spot and we are thrilled to be working with the Culden Faw Estate to present these intimate dinners.
Cooking on Feb 12th & 13th will be a Chateau Marmot favourite Tim ‘Tonto’ Yates. Former guests will remember him as the man behind the incredible ‘red pepper miso beef short-rib’ at the first Henley Chateau Marmot. His CV includes some of Australia’s best restaurants, London’s 100 Hoxton and his current position at the stylish Mondrian Hotel on the Southbank. Tim was also recently chosen to cook part of Bompas & Parr’s amazing 24hr menu (look it up!).
Tonto will be creating a very special seven course menu using game from the estate and all the amazing local producers in the region we have loved working with before.
Here’s a little sample of something he cooked at an event in London with us a few weeks back:
‘Ginger Pig’ sirloin of beef, burnt shallot, curry butter kale, bone marrow mustard mash and smoked salt
As always the drinks list will be a carefully curated mix chosen to complement the food including cocktails from our team of London’s best bartenders, which share ingredients with the menu, wines from independent growers chosen with ex-Decanter editor Rosalind Cooper, craft beers, ciders and lovely soft drinks.
Tickets are strictly limited to 32 each night, this is going to be a wonderful, intimate evening of drinking and dining in one of our best locations to date.
A limited run of run of ten tickets are available for each night, perfect as Xmas presents. Oh and we should probably mention it’s also Valentine’s weekend 😉
